" Since the franchise joined the NHL in 1991, those fans have seen four more-recent expansion teams reach the Cup finals while the beloved Los Tiburones have never made it even once. He can't enjoy the sight of two Pacific Division teams, Los Angeles and Phoenix, fighting for the Western Conference spot in the Stanley Cup finals. Probably, that's because for the past two years in the Bay Area, we were still watching playoff hockey at HP Pavilion. The Kings lost their final two games of the season to the Sharks. Is it just me. Or does it seem as if the Sharks were eliminated from the playoffs three months ago, not three weeks ago. I totally agree with Arkansas's decision to fire head coach Bobby Petrino, who hired his 25-year-old mistress to work for the Arkansas football program, wrecked his motorcycle with her riding on the back and then tried to hide her involvement in... You may remember Petrino's very brief stint as the Atlanta Falcons' head coach in 2007. (It also came out Tuesday that Petrino once gave her $20,000 -- a "gift," apparently, from the married father of four. He quit -- to go to Arkansas, which was offering him a pile of money -- before the season was over. They didn't respect him after that -- they torched him publicly, and rightfully so.

There are a lot of special effects, and they generally look pretty good (better than they looked in the trailers). The movie takes a while to really get going, but once it does, it's pretty fun, and Ryan Reynolds has a good time undergoing the Hero's Journey, and holy shit, Blake Lively is a fine-ass woman, and Green Lantern : So this movie was supposed to be awful, but it's. The fun about Green Lantern is that he doesn't just have a superpower. You already know that it's the origin story of Hal Jordan, and he's a wiseass fighter pilot who is chosen by a ring to join the Green Lantern Corps, an intergalactic peacekeeping force ruled by the Guardians of Oa. and if you didn't, you will be... The movie is basically half exposition. So it's great fun to see what Hal comes up with mid-fight....
