We had the pleasure of watching Ursula 1000 and Anna Coppa Cabanna perform at Mod Miami this past Spring 2011. During his childhood, he and his family moved to Miami Beach where his father, a member of the Spanish orchestra, Los Chavales De Espana, had an extended residency. Alex Gimeno is a DJ best known for Ursula 1000 , a wide-ranging musical project including lounge, breakbeat, glam and cha cha.   Ursula 1000 (aka multi-instrumentalist Alex Gimeno) sets his time machine for globetrotting mutant grooves for this collection of brand spanking new originals features the inimitable Fred Schneider of the B-52s, French avant-jazz singer Isabelle... His albums and mix sessions have taken on a broad scope of retro tinged spy grooves, bumping latin disco funk, hints of post punk, electro, go go, sleazy glam rock…And he never stops evolving. Bring Out Your Disco Fever!

To briefly sum up what I stated in my previous post on what the 70s is all about, the era was marked by two major moments: This time around, the trend definitely reflects a carefree, loose vibe of the 70s. I chose this bright maxi skirt because of its attention-grabbing color and the wide-leg jean due it being a classic 70s staple. Several of these looks included floppy hats, high waisted and wide-legged bottoms, wrap dresses, loud prints, and jumpsuits. Just because fall is quickly arriving with darker, more romantic colors, it doesn’t mean you have to stray away from bright hues and loud prints. The trend in mind for this week has been an obvious dose of major 70s fever. Many designers, including Marc Jacobs, Rebecca Taylor and Chris Benz, showcased silhouettes that exemplified 70s fashion with a unique modern twist....

Mr Hyde was a true heel, but Dr Jekyll was a tweener, not a face

As much as I would love to see Punk go over on Hunter and/or Nash, I am so sick of Nash acting like he is a threat when he hobbles to the ring with his bad dye job that I want to turn the channel over to the No Reservations marathon when he shows... In a program that is presumably and ultimately aimed at getting Punk over, it feels like Nash and Hunter are trying to stay in the spotlight, which makes me not want to watch, no matter what they do. Hunter… Hunter just always has a feel that he is trying to get himself over. I like the way he works and I think his mic work is top notch. Having said that, HHH and Nash make me want to stop following this angle. I want him to do well....
